Play with glowing orbs at dusk

Join us for an evening of ritual and play at Frédéric Back Park.

Frédéric Back Park sits on 40 million tonnes of material. On the surface, you'll find mysterious orbs, venting ports for an active process happening beneath our feet. As the sun sets, we'll paint with light on the orbs.

What to expect

Experimental play at dusk, exploring trash, territory, and transformation. Bring a flashlight or bike light and dress warm.

We'll begin with a mediative ritual as the sun sets, and shift into faster-paced play in the late dusk.

• When: Saturday, November 15, 2025, arrive for 3:45pm. We start at 4pm, the sunset is unstoppable.

What to bring

• Flashlight or bike light (essential!)
• Warm clothing
• Your sense of play and curiosity

Important Notes

• Join the Signal group (link sent after registration) for help finding us as well as coordinating rideshares.
• Light is essential for play, so bring a flashlight or bike light.
• The first part involves very slow walking through the park, the second part involves light physical activity. Please reach out if you have accessibility questions.
• This is an experimental, participatory experience. Come ready to play!
